 How Do Local Chapters Register as a Team Locally? 2 Options:

 1)     Call 1-888-Diabetes and ask to speak with the Executive Director. The number will automatically connect you to the nearest American Diabetes Association Chapter. The Local Executive Director will assist the chapter coordinator in planning the activity (i.e. name of team, critical dates, providing fundraising material, etc.

2)     Register online at www.diabetes.org/walk

To do this, each Chapter Team Captain will register their Team Name online.  The team name must begin with  “Omega Psi Phi”. (Ex: Omega Psi Phi -Alpha Phi Chapter). This distinction will facilitate data gathering and reporting. The Team Captain can register all participants or Chapter member can visit the website, look for their team name and then register themselves under that particular team. 

The website also allows team members to send out mass fundraising e-mails, take donations online and also notifies them when someone has made a donation on their behalf. 

A team captain information packet that gives details of the local walk and directions on what they need to do, will be mailed to each team captain once they officially register.  Team members will also be mailed an information packet once they officially register.
